Here is a great natural face mask made easily from all natural ingredients that really works to prevent and clean clogged pores.

Honey Cinnamon Facemask

Ingredients:

• 3 Tablespoons of Honey.
• 2 Teaspoons of ground Cinnamon.

Mix the Honey and Cinnamon together into to a tick paste.

Instructions

Apply the paste in a thin layer to your face. Leave it on your skin for 20 minutes then wash off with hand warm water. Apply this mask once or twice a week to clean out your pores.

Yogurt Mask/Moisturiser

Yoghurt can work really well to moisturise and calm down irritated or inflamed skin. It's also a great natural moisturiser and helps to replace the good bacteria that's meant to be there on your skin. Having a relatively low pH it may also help balance the alkaline effects of commerical soaps and washes. Use real unflavoured, unsweetened and uncoloured yoghurt. Avoid fat reduced varieties which often contain starchy thickeners. We recommend a sour, full cream Greek yoghurt. Ideally you can use the yoghurt you made yourself here.

Note: Avoid "double dipping". Avoid touching the yoghurt in its original pot with your fingers or re-using a spoon that has touched your skin. This ensures the yoghurt isn't contaminated with bacteria that could eventually ruin it.

Apply a thin layer on your face or topically to an affected area before going to bed, just like you would put on face cream normally. The acid and bacteria in yoghurt should in principal, compete with the bad bacteria that can cause skin problems. This can help to to rebalance the flora on your skin.

In the morning shower as normal or wash your face with hand-warm water to remove any residue.

Note: Chlorine in the water supply is naturally alkaline. Like soap, this can strip the oily layer that normally protects the skin. Dermatitis and/or eczma may be exacerbated by this process in some cases. Consider a vitamin-c shower filter to neutralise the chlorine.
